四分之三的英语表达（英语分数表达方法）

英文分数表达方法：用英文单词表示分数时，一般情况下，分子用基数词，分母用序数词；先读分子后读分母；当分子大于1时，分母的序数词要用复数形式(直接在词尾加“s”)

1/3 英语读作：one third 

2/3 英语读作：two thirds 

1/5 英语读作：one fifth 

3/5 英语读作：three fifths 

5/9 英语读作：five ninths

11/100 英语读作：eleven hundredths 

8 ⅝ 英语读作：eight and five eighths 

3 ⅓ 英语读作：three and one third

备注：

1) 1/2 英语读作：one second = a half (one half) ; 

1/4 英语读作：one fourth (a quarter) ; 

3/4 英语读作：three fourths (three quarters)

2)英语表示“整体的几分之几”时，使用“分数+ of + the + 名词”结构：

Three sevenths of the students 七分之三的学生

Two fifths of the land 五分之二的陆地

3）英语分数作主语，谓语动词要与of 后的名词一致： 如果of 后的名词是复数，谓语动词要用复数形式

如果of 后的名词是可数名词单数或不可数名词，谓语动词要用单数形式。

Three fourths of the apples were bad. 四分之三的苹果坏了。

Three fourths of the apple was bad 这个苹果的四分之三坏了。

There is one sixth of the water in the bottle. 瓶子里只有六分之一的水。
