TheoldmerchantwasgratefulandthankedtheMightyOneforhisintervention.Hebowedlow,tearsstreamingdownhisface,andsaid,"Youaretrulymighty,mylord.Iamforeverinyourdebt."TheMightyOnesmiledandreplied,"Itismydutytoprotectthosewhocannotprotectthemselves.Youhavenothingtofearnow."Hecontinuedhiswalk,hiseyesconstantlyscanningthesurroundingsforanysignsofdanger.Hisreputationprecededhim,andpeoplewouldoftenstophimtoaskforadviceorhelpintimesofneed.Oneday,hereceivedamessagefromtheking,requestinghispresenceatthepalace.Thekinghadheardofhisdeedsandwantedtoofferhimapositionintheroyalcourt.

Hisdayswerefilledwithmeetingsandconsultations,andhisnightswerespentpatrollingthestreets,makingsurethatthepeopleweresafe.Onenight,whilehewaswalkinginthedarkalleysofthecity,heheardascream.Herantowardsthesoundandfoundayoungwomanbeingattackedbyagroupofmen.Heunsheathedhissword,readytofight,andsaid,"Leaveheralone,orfacetheconsequences."Themenlookedathimwithfearintheireyesandranaway.Theyoungwomanthankedhimandsaid,"Youaretrulymighty,sir.Ioweyoumylife."

TheMightyOnesmiledandreplied,"Itismydutytoprotectthosewhocannotprotectthemselves."Ashewalkedaway,henoticedayoungboywatchinghimfromadistance.Theboyseemedfascinatedbyhismightinessandfollowedhimsilently.TheMightyOnenoticedtheboyandsaid,"Whatareyoudoinghere,youngone?"Theboyreplied,"Iwanttobemightylikeyou,sir.Iwanttoprotecttheweakandfightforjustice."
