Oneday,asshewasstaringoutatthesnow-coveredlandscape,Lilynoticedsomethingdifferent.Therewasasplashofcolorinthemidstofallthewhite.Itwasatree,coveredinbrightredberries.Itwasasifthetreewasremindingherthateveninthemidstofwinter,therewasstillbeautytobefound.ThesightoftheredberriessparkedsomethinginsideofLily.Sherealizedthatsheneededtogetoutofherapartmentandstartlivingagain.Shebundledupinherwarmestcoatandboots,andheadedoutintothewinterwonderland.Asshewalkedthroughthesnowystreets,Lilynoticedallsortsofcolorsthatshehadneverpaidattentiontobefore.Thebluetintofthesnowintheshadows,thepalepinkoftheskyasthesunset,andtheorangeglowofstreetlightsagainstthewhitebackground.Lilyrealizedthatwinterwasn'tjustonecolor.Itwasawholespectrumofcolors,eachonemorebeautifulthanthelast.Shebegantoseetheworldinanewlight,anditgaveherasenseofhopethatshehadn'tfeltinalongtime.
